Christmas time is tourism high season in Rio de Janeiro, due to the summer in this part of the hemisphere; however, this information will be specified in each product description. How do I book online on Rio4U?
Booking with Rio4U is easy and simple. Once you are sure about the product you wish to purchase, check the product description and follow the instructions.
1. For most of the products you will have a calendar to select a date for the same activity.
2. After selecting a date, please select between the options available such as the starting time, number of persons etc. Once you have provided this information you are ready to proceed to the checkout.
3. During checkout you will need to provide your personal details in order to confirm your identity and so that we can contact you in case any change is needed. Then you can choose one of our third parties safe payment methods and the system will redirect you to our third party merchant sites in order to complete the booking.
Once you have completed the payment process a confirmation email will be sent automatically to the e-mail address you have provided us with during the checkout process. This email is a Rio4U Voucher and will contain all the necessary info about your purchase (not your credit card details). Please print it as it will be required by the provider to redeem your service and is the receipt for your online transaction.
I don't have a credit card, how do I book?
If you don't have a credit card or a Paypal account, you can book your tour or activity by paying through any Western Union agency, realizing a wire transfer or paying in cash directly at our offices in Rio de Janeiro. I need directions to the departure / meeting point.
The meeting point for each activity will be sent to you by email along with the booking confirmation. If you need directions, please contact Cotact our Support Team by email, chat or telephone 24-48 hours prior to your confirmed departure date. We will be glad to help you get to the place.

I want to book a vacation package, how can I do this?
Rio4U does not offer full travel packages that include airfares or additional tourist services. We specialize in small independent sightseeing tours, excursions, attractions and events in Rio de Janeiro and its outskirts. For information on vacation packages or other travel information in Brasil you can also contact us and we can verify this with our local partners.
I'm not sure if my booking was processed, did you get my booking request?
You need to wait to receive our confirmation e-mail. You should receive this within 24 hours of your booking, and please check your junk folder as well, because depending on your e-mail security settings sometimes your e-mail program can identify our mail as spam. If you don't receive the confirmation e-mail after 24 hours please contact Rio4U Customer Service via e-mail with your booking details including the name of the travel service, the name's of the customer and the travel dates. We will check to see if we have received your booking request successfully and will contact you via e-mail.

Not all products are exchangeable, and some products carry heavy cancellation penalties. I keep getting a credit card error when I try to book, what should I do?
Please check that you have entered all your credit card details correctly. Your credit card number must be entered without any spaces or punctuation. It is also necessary to declare the type of credit card, its exact validity date and the CVV2 or security code that is the last 3 or 4-digit value usually printed on the signature strip.
If you are still receiving an error notification, it could be a problem caused by overloaded servers with our third party payment processor. We suggest you restart your browser and wait a few minutes before trying to complete the payment again. Is it safe to provide my credit card details when booking?

I can't print the voucher, what should I do?
It is essential that you have a printout of your voucher as it is the proof of your purchase in Rio4U and it must be presented to the provider along with a valid photo ID. If you can't print the voucher from your own computer just redirect the voucher e-mail to a web mail (such as gmail ymail, hotmail, etc) which you can access from any computer. If you are still having problems please contact our client support team by email and we will help you to find a solution.

I need to correct / amend the names, titles, ages in the booking and get a new voucher
If you have misspelled the name, not entered a title correctly or mismatched the ages with the travelers, please email Rio4U customer services team and we will make a note in the booking. Please note that vouchers will not be reissued for these changes.
Our names on the booking are different from those on our Photo ID's
This will not be a problem as long as you have some sort of valid secondary ID that is the same as the name you have booked your travel service under. If this is not the case, please contact Rio4U customer services to amend your details.
Some of the passengers (or children) do not have a photo ID.
Not all passengers require photo ID upon departure. The main passenger in the booking will definitely require a valid photo ID as identification in order to redeem their Rio4U voucher.
What do I do with the voucher?
When you have completed your booking, it is essential that you print the travel voucher sent to your email and present it to the person responsible for your tour or activity in order to receive the service. This voucher is unique to your booking and is proof of your purchase in Rio4U. It must be presented together with a valid photo ID at the beginning of your selected tour, or used to redeem your ticket. Please check the product description and ensure that the information in your voucher is correct and that you have all the necessary contact details.
Where are my tickets? Can they be sent to me?
Your travel voucher acts as your ticket for any tour or activity unless you have purchased tickets for special events. For special events you will need to collect the tickets. The voucher or booking confirmation will be sent to the email address you have provided us with during the booking process. It is essential that you print your voucher and include it with all of your travel documentation as this voucher is proof of your booking confirmation and purchase. Simply present your travel voucher upon commencement of service, together with a valid photo ID for purchase verification.
Where do I exchange my voucher?
The voucher acts as your receipt for the tourist provider in Rio de Janeiro, unless you have acquired tickets for events, shows or sport games (these special events require the original entrance ticket).
